more about our events

Our events use discovery learning, be it factual, personal or social. They unfold to tell a story of some kind, stories that are common, some would say, universal. There may be a Quest or a Voyage and Return, an element of Tragedy or Comedy, perhaps some Overcoming of Evil and some element of Rags to Riches or Rebirth. There might even be aspects of all these in your event!

Despite these common themes, the activities and settings will be unfamiliar, either foreign to participants or presented from an unusual point of view. This strangeness is designed to encourage a broadening of perspectives, group inter-reliance and to make consequences of decisions/actions immediately apparent. The experience can be transformative so that we can recognize patterns of behaviour that are helpful or might be useful to change.

hope v

We live in it, have high ones, lend it and take it, eternally spring it, give it up and never give it up, pin it and build it up, see glimmers of it, use it against itself - if only we can let it triumph over bad experience.

This is our Summer 2018 Open Event.
